Motels and Hotels

Motel6_1 Many people coming in from out of town for the June 2009 reunion will be staying in local motels and hotels. Don Parrish tells me that he and others soon will be making personal visits to many of these motels/hotels to see if they can lock in some good rates for the nights our classmates are in town.

Stay tuned. I'll let you know as soon as the group finishes its work.

Our 50th Reunion Dinner/Dance

Our 45th Reunion

    On July 16, 2004, our class held its 45th reunion at the Village at Tinker Creek clubhouse. Lots of our classmates showed up and everyone seemed to have a great time. Click on this small picture to see all of the smiling faces.

Our 40th Reunion

    The class of 1959's 40th reunion was a two-night affair. On Friday night, we went to Nancy Garland Dearing's house just south of Roanoke. It was a relaxed gathering of old friends. On Saturday night, we gathered at the Holiday Inn on the south side of town. There was a delicious meal, a program, dancing, and more. Our 30th Reunion

    For some reason, I have only one picture - a group shot - from the 30th reunion weekend. We met on Saturday night at Hidden Valley Country Club in Roanoke. Our 20th Reunion

    The class of 1959 held its 20th reunion in 1979 at Hotel Roanoke. It was an interesting reunion, with many of our classmates having recently started their families. I suppose I best remember the former cheerleaders and other popular ladies of 1959 dressing up in their outfits and trodding the boards. Ah, the good ol' days.
